AQHA Professional Horseman Scott Tyrrell has been training horses professionally for more than twenty years, specializing in all-around and western pleasure horses.  Scott’s training facility is located in Centreville, AL, just south of Birmingham.
 

Scott has trained numerous PHBA World and Reserve World Champions and national high-points in many areas of competition, including Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Pleasure Driving, Trail, and Walk-Trot Pleasure, Horsemanship, and Hunter Under Saddle.  His AQHA accomplishments include training Register of Merit award-winners in open, youth and amateur competition, Superior Hunter Under Saddle award winners, multiple World-Show qualifiers, and many, many AQHA All-Around award winners and ALQHA year-end high-point winners.  Please see our accomplishments  page for recent client success stories.

It is obvious from Scott’s list of accomplishments that he enjoys working with all levels of riders, and his customers include small fry, youth, amateur, and amateur select riders, many of whom have been with him for a very long time.  He also trains horses he shows in the junior and senior western pleasure, trail and western riding, and has a selection of both young and finished show horses for sale.

Scott believes integrity is one of the most important aspects of the training business, and that you should find a trainer that you trust to locate the right horse for you, not just someone who is trying to make a quick dollar.  Scott’s goal is to work with clients and their horses so the customers can show their own horses and have fun doing it.  “I don’t believe a trainer should routinely get off the horse at the gate and just let the rider show in the class.  My customers learn work with their own horses so they can show successfully. It is all about the partnership and sense of accomplishment.”
